National final

On 25 August 2011, BNT started the call for songs for their national selection which will be once again supervised by a special panel consisting of music and media professionals.[1]

The deadline to submit songs for the Bulgarian national selection is 11 November 2011.[2][3]

From all the entries submitted to BNT as audio files, the academy will select 60. These 60 songs will then be presented live before the experts at BNT's Studio 1. Only 30 of them will qualify to the two semi-finals (15 in each semi-final) on 12 and 14 December 2011. Six songs from each semi-final will go to the final. The 12 songs that qualify from the two semi-finals will be presented on the 14 January 2012 in a show at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia. The winner will be chosen by a SMS voting and the academy.[4]

On 15 November 2011, BNT announced the 33 songs which advanced to the Academy selection on 23 November 2011.[5]
